About

Hi, I’m Shannon
Former biologist. Current small business owner. Lifelong dog person.

I used to study salmonids in the rivers of the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Alaska. These days, I study consciousness, quantum weirdness, and meditation—and invent little self-experiments to test the power of manifestation. You know… the usual.

I’ve always considered myself a realist (my husband, Mike, says I’m too rational). But after a couple of pivotal experiences I couldn’t explain—or ignore—I started diving deep into the nature of reality. That led me to consciousness… which led me to quantum mechanics.

I’m a science-minded creative—not a genius, but an observer. I love a good mental challenge, so quantum mechanics seemed like a decent test to see just how far I could stretch my brain.

What fascinates me most is how the mind can influence the body and shape the future—and how all of that might be connected through the quantum fabric of our universe. I fully believe that the more conscious, present, and aware people there are on this planet, the better off we’ll all be.
(And yes—those people should absolutely have dogs. More dogs, always.)

Here you’ll find reflections, ideas, and resources to help you live more consciously. If you’re here, you’re probably already a little curious—and well on your way. I’m just at the beginning of my journey, too. Let’s see if we can wrap our heads around this wild stuff together—with open minds, full hearts, a transcendent cup of coffee, and maybe a dog or two curled up beside us.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy your time here.

p.s.  👉 Dogs & Coffee is where I explore the big questions. Damn Good Human is where I turn those reflections into practical, everyday tools. Together, they’re two sides of the same adventure.
